MLB: Anaheim Not Interested in Holliday

Angels General Manager Tony Reagins refuted a FOXSPorts.com report implying that the Red Sox, Yankees, and Angels were the only teams interested in Matt Holliday that have a realistic chance of landing him.

Reagins tells the Los Angeles Times that re-signing pitcher John Lackey and third baseman Chone Figgings remain the team’s top priorities this winter and the team still has an interest in retaining free agents Vladimir Guerrero and Darren Oliver.

The Holliday rumors seem to get more and more interesting as we move closer the official start of free agency.  The Red Sox have said they prefer to retain Jason Bay as long as the price is right and the Yankees have yet to weigh in on whether or not Holliday is on their radar screen.  Scott Boras may end up a very disappointed man if he can not coax one of those three teams into the bidding for his prized free agent.
