NFL: Fantasy Friday Updates for Week Seven

The Friday before week seven is upon us and the Pickle is here with some injury news and updates for this weekend’s upcoming games.  How much is Crabtree expected to play, are Bob Sanders and Troy Polamalu going to suit up this weekend, find out which Bears defensive stalwart may miss this week, how is Boldin doing, and more.

As of Friday afternoon Buffalo’s Trent Edwards was being ruled out of this Sunday’s game due to the concussion he suffered against the Jets last Sunday.

Arizona’s Anquan Boldin is questionable with an ankle injury and is expected to be a game time decision on Sunday.

Jets receiver Jerricho Cotchery has been ruled out of this weekend’s game against the Raiders.  Cotchery missed the game against Buffalo with a hamstring injury he suffered against the Dolphins two weeks ago.

It is also being reported that Rex Ryan is ruling cornerback Lito Sheppard and backup receiver Brad Smith out of this weeks game as well.

Pittsburgh safety Troy Polamalu is still expected to play this Sunday despite missing practice time earlier in the week.

It is expected that Michael Crabtree will be on the field for approximately half of the Forty Niners plays during his pro debut this weekend.

Newly signed Mark Tauscher is not expected to see significant time at right tackle for the Pack this weekend.

Chicago defensive tackle Tommie Harris was held out of practice two days this week raising speculation as to whether he will play this Sunday against the Bengals.  If he is unable to play it could pave the way for Cedric Benson to have a big game.

Bob Sanders is expected to play this Sunday for the Colts.  It is unknown how many snaps he will see however.

Miles Austin was officially promoted to starter this week in favor of the enigmatic Patrick Crayton.  Crayton, however, could still see significant playing time as it is still not known how much Roy Williams is going to be able to play this weekend.  Williams says he is playing, but, there is speculation around Dallas that they are not so sure that he will be able to give the team much on Sunday.

Washington placed Chris Samuels on IR due to a neck injury and there is speculation that his career may be over.

Justin Edelman is out indefinitely with a broken arm.  With Joey Galloway being released earlier in the week it is unknown who the third receiver will be for the Pats this weekend, but, there is speculation that it may end up being Isiah Stanback who failed to catch on with the Cowboys.

New England’s Sammy Morris has been ruled out of this weekend’s game against the Bucs.

Chaz Schilens is expected to see his first action of the season this weekend leading to speculation that Darrius Heyward-Bey is going to see fewer snaps for the Raiders.

Kevin Curtis is still questionable for this weekend and is expected to be getting a second opinion on his knee injury meaning Jeremy Maclin is likely to remain in the starting lineup for the time being.

Marcus Trufant and Lofa Tatupu have both been ruled out of this weekend’s game for the Seahawks.

Clinton Portis has missed practice time this week with a foot/ankle injury but is still expected to play against Philadelphia on Monday Night.
